Welcome to the Roe household blog. We're attempting to post 365 days of pictures in a Roe. Cork and I have been married since 2002 and welcomed identical daughters in August of 2009 after a struggle with infertility. Our girls were definitely worth the wait and I say they were destined to be here because they were conceived on my birthday, due on my sister's birthday and born on my grandma's birthday. What are the chances of that! We welcomed our third daughter in June of 2012. We all fell in love with her right away. She has two amazing older sisters who love to watch over her.

Cold Stuff

I took the kids out into the yard to play today. They were like the little kid from The Christmas Story. When they fell over, neither could get back up. I'd ask them if they were "stuck" and Arya would try to say "stuck". It's so cute to hear her trying to say words after we say them. After not talking for so long, both kids are really starting to gather a vocabulary. Arya is still a little ahead of Eiley in the vocabulary department. She now says wawa (water), nana, papa, nah (no), yeah, mama, dada, kiddy (kitty), ma (more), hi, si (outside), bah (ball) & byebye. When she repeats things, she tries to get the first letter right and then the correct number of syllables. She said "garden" today. I wouldn't have known what it was except I said it first. I know I have to be missing words in there too. I edited this because she just walked next to me, picked up a ball and said "bah", which reminded me that she does say ball.

A Grazing We Go

Eiley will no longer eat off of her high chair tray. If I put something on the tray, she moves it to her bowl. Today, she crawled up into a kitchen chair after her snack. She brought a bowl with her and moved all her leftover pear from the tray to her bowl and then ate it.

Pants Off

Someone has learned how to take her pants off. I do hope this is not a career choice for her.

Someone else was in my bathroom cabinet today.

I was cooking and found the girls rocking themselves in this chair. They were too cute sitting together, so of course I had to run and get my camera.

That Time of Year

I realized tonight that I hadn't taken a picture today. I had my niece and nephew here, Cork had the day off from work, and my FIL and his wife were here. Things were a bit crazy and the girls were in bed before I dragged the camera out. Cork was outside shoveling, so I decided to try to get a good low light picture of him moving. It didn't work as well as I'd like, but it was still fun to play with my camera and try to make it do something it didn't want to do.

A Long Drive

The girls came with us today to their first funeral. In all, we spent about 7 hours in the car. They were ready to play when we got home and they played hard. They went to bed late, but needed to run around and blow off some energy before we put them down.

Chili Eyes

The girls devoured chili at lunch today. I think it's funny that they both managed to get chili on their left eyelid.

Teach Me How To Bucky

We took our tree down today. If you look at it closely, you'll notice a line where the lights and decorations stop. We tied the tree to the wall, but decided not to temp the kids and didn't put any lights or decorations at eye level.

If you look even closer, you'll see our Bucky ornament.

The girls are proudly wearing their little Badger gear today in honor of the Rose Bowl. Too bad the Badgers didn't play well. It's so frustrating to watch them always play at the level of the team they are playing and not at the level they are capable of. I didn't get to watch as much as they game as I'd like because I spent most of it chasing after A&E, but the little I saw was painful. Someone needs to teach the Badger football team how to Bucky.
