Face Washer

We ate dinner at my sister's house tonight. My niece got up during dinner to wet a paper towel. She came back to the table and wiped off Eiley's face. It was so cute to watch her do this and to watch Eiley stop eating and let her cousin wash her face.


On a side note. A year ago today we picked up A&E's helmets. I fought with their pediatrician for months about this. She said they did not need the helmets and I said they did. I am so glad that i went over her head and got an evaluation without her writing a prescription ahead of time. It made things a little more complicated to go back and get a prescription after the evaluation, but thankfully it all worked out.

Arya, Eiley and I did a photo and video shoot for Hanger Orthotics last May when they first got their helmets. I heard from Hanger this week that their first video has finally been finished. The Flip Side

Since Eiley picks on Arya a lot, I have to admit that I think it's a little funny when Arya dishes it back.

Cart Pushers

I was busy all day and ended my day with shampoo all over the hallway carpet and the kids bedroom carpet. Shampoo does not make a good carpet cleaner. Before I ran the carpet shampooer over it, I scraped as much of the shampoo up as I could. Even so, I spent way too long cleaning it and it still isn't done. After not napping, Eiley was more than ready for bed and asked to go to sleep before I was done. To top it off, I'm pretty sure Arya mocked me tonight. She is my little parrot and repeats so many things I say, but Cork and I both felt like she was mocking me when she repeated something today. It was pretty funny, but the last thing I needed to do was laugh and encourage her. It was funny though and I think it's awesome that my 20 month olds have a sense of humor.

Whenever we go to the grocery store, the bagger offers to move bags from the check out into the cart A&E are in. I always tell them that it isn't necessary. This is why. A&E love to help push the cart out to the car. We get so many looks, but it keeps them happy and they stay with me.

Corn Hoovers

It was gorgeous outside today. Finally! Before we headed outside, A&E hoovered up some corn off the kitchen table.

Gloves

Arya found my dish washing gloves today. She put the first one on and then asked me to put the other one on. She looks ridiculous, but had a lot of fun wearing them.

The girls have been sleeping a lot lately. They took a morning and afternoon nap today. I think they are growing, but our 3 hour trip to the zoo probably helped them nap well.

Boings

I got this "boings" at a wedding last August. I got them out for the girls today thinking they were old enough to wear them. Nope! I put them on, walked away to grab the camera and Eiley started saying "uh oh". She followed me, so I stopped and she pulled the foam out of her mouth and handed it to me. Definitely not old enough for "boings."

Javelin Throwers

I was folding clothes today when I kept hearing loud crashes. I went to investigate and found the girls hurling a potty and the ball popper over a baby gate. I'm not sure why we still have this baby gate up. It doesn't really slow them down anymore. The gate stops them from going from the kitchen to the dining room. They can go from the kitchen to the living room and then to the dining room, so the gate really isn't doing anything but giving them something to throw objects over.
