Welcome to the Roe household blog. We're attempting to post 365 days of pictures in a Roe. Cork and I have been married since 2002 and welcomed identical daughters in August of 2009 after a struggle with infertility. Our girls were definitely worth the wait and I say they were destined to be here because they were conceived on my birthday, due on my sister's birthday and born on my grandma's birthday. What are the chances of that! We welcomed our third daughter in June of 2012. We all fell in love with her right away. She has two amazing older sisters who love to watch over her.

Musical Prodigy

Eiley's so cute. She was playing the piano today and singing "tinkle tinkle lilly sahr".

Tea and Car Seats

The girls and I went to tea today with my mom, sisters and niece. The girls had a great time eating little sandwiches and lots of desserts. I think their favorite parts of the tea were playing in the church nursery and riding in their cousin's infant seat. Obviously she's too long for the seat, but she just barely outweighs the weight limit.

Bathing Cousins

My sister was giving her kids a bath tonight. Arya and Eiley quickly got themselves ready and jumped on it. It was very cute to see four of the youngest cousins taking a bath together. No pics though. I couldn't get any where all 4 kids were angled well enough to post on a blog. Even though the kids haven't seen each other in almost 4 months, they acted like they'd seen each other just yesterday. I love how kids can do that.

My Just Bounce

Trouble! That's what these girls are. At least they are funny trouble. I was making a grocery list today and could hear them laughing hysterically in the kitchen. I knew they were playing with their water cups, but was too tired to care. They both soaked themselves and ran upstairs to change. Seeing that they have no clothes in their room, I followed. I found their pants on the floor and them hiding in Eiley's bed. I was just glad they'd taken their wet clothes off before playing in the bed.

Later tonight, Arya started jumping on a bed while I was right next to her. I told her not to jump on the bed. Her response, "my just bounce". How do you not laugh at that? She's definitely thinking for herself now. I didn't even know she knew the word "bounce."

Easter Chocolate

Besides the fact that they are gnawing on a chocolate bunny while I'm trying to do laundry, this is so cute. They got out a cutting board to try to cut the chocolate bunny. Without a knife, they just gave up and tried to take bites.

Eiley threw a colossal fit tonight. She was happily playing legos with Cork until I called them into the kitchen for dinner. She came into the kitchen and threw her fit. I'm not sure what set her off. She didn't even make it into her chair. I think she was yelling that she wanted her food "too hot", but I'm not sure. Forty five minutes later, she finally calmed down enough to eat. She then requested dessert like nothing had happened. I nicely explained that there was no way in hell I was giving her dessert after her performance and she accepted that with no problems. Dessert was black bean brownies, so I could have let her have it. It's not like it's junk, but I didn't want her thinking she can do this again on another night when we have a real dessert.

I'm up to my bi weekly appointments for this pregnancy. The girls have been going to my appointments with me. We talk ahead of time about how I'll be weighed, my blood pressure will be taken, we'll listen to the baby's heart etc. I was getting Arya out of the van at the office today and she very seriously said to me "sometimes you go to doctor and peepee en cup". I think this is going to be fun the first time she tells people in public that I pee in a cup.

Toothbrushes

The girls each grabbed the toothbrush and toothpaste they wanted to use tonight. I brushed their teeth and then asked Eiley to bring the stuff back to the bathroom and put it away. This is how she carried it.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We started our day with church. Arya and Eiley happily went to the front for the junior sermon and out voiced every other kid up there. There weren't a lot since we were at an early service, but the others were older. When the pastor held up an Easter egg and asked what could be found in it, both girls yelled out "die die" loud enough for everyone in the church to hear. While Cork and I both knew they were talking about candy, obviously no one else did. Thankfully, Cork interpreted for them.

We also made a trip to the zoo where the girls got to ride the Carousel. That's something they ask about every time we're there, but we had yet to let them ride. Eiley wanted to ride on a bunny and Arya wanted the cat. After the zoo, we did an Easter egg hunt at home and then Uncle Greg came over to spend the rest of the day with us and share a very festive Easter taco dinner.
