Welcome to the Roe household blog. We're attempting to post 365 days of pictures in a Roe. Cork and I have been married since 2002 and welcomed identical daughters in August of 2009 after a struggle with infertility. Our girls were definitely worth the wait and I say they were destined to be here because they were conceived on my birthday, due on my sister's birthday and born on my grandma's birthday. What are the chances of that! We welcomed our third daughter in June of 2012. We all fell in love with her right away. She has two amazing older sisters who love to watch over her.

Art

We went to the Greendale fall festival today that we've been to the last few years. Every other year it's been freezing and we've needed winter coats. Today it was 70 degrees and foggy. We had a good time, but Eiley's ear was hurting and she wanted to leave so I could treat it. Before we left, we let the girls get a donut and we let them each make an 8x10" piece of art. They got to pour paint, from ketchup type bottles, onto a canvas as it spun on a pottery wheel in a big drum. They both made really good pictures. We watched a few other kids and I have to say that Arya and Eiley's art turned out better than the others we saw. The guy working the wheel commented on Arya's fine lines. Most kids were squeezing the bottles so hard that the paint lines were very thick.

Before the festival, we went to this month's Home Depot class and made airplanes. The girls were covered in paint by the time we left there with their plans, cupcakes, and juice drinks.  Apparently the girls are going to eat mainly junk today.
