Welcome to the Roe household blog. We're attempting to post 365 days of pictures in a Roe. Cork and I have been married since 2002 and welcomed identical daughters in August of 2009 after a struggle with infertility. Our girls were definitely worth the wait and I say they were destined to be here because they were conceived on my birthday, due on my sister's birthday and born on my grandma's birthday. What are the chances of that! We welcomed our third daughter in June of 2012. We all fell in love with her right away. She has two amazing older sisters who love to watch over her.

Operation Bye Bye Buhbuh

I've thought about getting rid of the girls' pacifiers in the past, but it just never seemed to be the right now. They will only use a 0-6 month size and I recently noticed that they suck on it all night long instead of just to fall asleep like they used to. I also noticed that their teeth are starting to shift, so just over a week ago I decided that it's time.

I started to cut the tip off of the pacifiers and have been taking another cut on them every day or two. I barely take any off, but it's adding up. The day I started, I also rounded up all the pacifiers in the house, washed them in the dishwasher and then hid them when the kids weren't around. I chose 2 pacifiers to cut and they just happened to be each kid's favorite one. There was no turning back! By some miracle, we've had no objections so far. It's been great. I'll continue to cut away at the pacifiers and hopefully over the next few weeks they will be completely weened in a pain free (for me) way.
