Welcome to the Roe household blog. We're attempting to post 365 days of pictures in a Roe. Cork and I have been married since 2002 and welcomed identical daughters in August of 2009 after a struggle with infertility. Our girls were definitely worth the wait and I say they were destined to be here because they were conceived on my birthday, due on my sister's birthday and born on my grandma's birthday. What are the chances of that! We welcomed our third daughter in June of 2012. We all fell in love with her right away. She has two amazing older sisters who love to watch over her.

Kirby and Dyson

It amazes me how fast the girls are at eating now. They used to take forever. I lived on my couch. Everything we did was planned around their eating. I don't mind nursing in public, but it's much harder to discreetly nurse two at a time than it is to nurse one. Now, we can pick up and go at virtually any time. This stage is commonly called the honeymoon period for twins. We're out of the newborn stage, but they aren't mobile. They still fit in infant car seats and I don't have mess with buckles every time I get them in and out of the car. I can still carry their seats and don't always need a stroller. They're eating solids, but we can skip it if we're busy and I can just breastfeed them. All in all, breastfeeding is so much easier and faster now than bottle feeding would be for us. The only issue I have is that the girls often refuse to tandem nurse. I can still get them to tandem in the middle of the night. They must be starving when we get home from the gym, because that's usually the only time I can get them to tandem during the day. The rest of the day, when I try to tandem feed them, they scream and flail arms, hitting each other. I'm so glad they've upgraded from their Dirt Devil days or I would still be living on my couch.

  2. ditto to tracy! I love how easy it is to feed sophia now too. mind you I never had to worry about two. but our WHOLE day was around feedings..and until about 2 months ago..all she wanted was to nurse..and I am to shy to NIP.though I have done it twice now

  3. I'm jealous! Violet has no attention span and it takes her forever to finish eating. She would probably skip eating all together if I didn't keep trying.
