Welcome to the Roe household blog. We're attempting to post 365 days of pictures in a Roe. Cork and I have been married since 2002 and welcomed identical daughters in August of 2009 after a struggle with infertility. Our girls were definitely worth the wait and I say they were destined to be here because they were conceived on my birthday, due on my sister's birthday and born on my grandma's birthday. What are the chances of that! We welcomed our third daughter in June of 2012. We all fell in love with her right away. She has two amazing older sisters who love to watch over her.

Bonus: Hippity Hop

I ran across an infertility blog hop this morning and decided to link my blog up to it. I know how hard it is to read all sorts of pregnancy stuff when experiencing infertility. It feels like friends and relatives around you are all getting pregnant with ease. People who have never experienced it tell you to stop stressing and then it will happen. Someone once compared infertility to me to falling madly in love every month and then having your heart broken. To someone who hasn't experienced infertility that may sound extreme, but it isn't.

It was hard to watch so many people around me get pregnant while we struggled, it was also very encouraging when someone else who struggled was finally successful. I was never mad at anyone for being pregnant, but I sure rejoiced more for those women who knew the heartache I was going through.

I hope that by linking my blog I can encourage other women and let them know that there is hope. It may take longer than you'd like. You may conceive in a doctors office instead of at home. But, in the end, it doesn't matter how you get there. You'll be so in love with your little one that you'll hardly remember all the time you spent at your doctor's office.

  1. Thanks sooo much for posting your great experience with acupuncture on my blog! It's really encouraging to hear acupuncture success stories, and it sounds like your issues were kind of similar to mine with the long cycles and short lps. I have high hopes for the acupuncture, but sometimes I can start to wonder if I'm crazy thinking it will actually make a difference. Your little girls are gorgeous!
